Majestically, the summit pyramid towers above the glacier plateau - "Horn", a fitting name. Although the summer is ruled in the valley, it is cool at over 2.000 meters. Good thing we packed warm clothes. The guide is already waiting at the agreed meeting place and welcomes us with a big smile. He leads us into the world of 3.000ers. Or should we even dare the summit tour? Phew, it's cool. Tomorrow we go on a hike on the family mountain Maiskogel, which is several hundred meters deeper and awaits us with great hikes and beautiful hiking trails on us. Should we combine both? We could walk over the Alexander-Enzinger-Weg from the Maiskogel to the Kitzsteinhorn. Are we also sufficiently sure-footed for the alpine challenge?
